SunSirs: The Domestic Lithium Hydroxide Market Was Running Weakly (April 20-26)
April 27 2022 14:37:55SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data of SunSirs, as of April 26, the average price of domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide enterprises was 470,000.00 RMB/ton, a drop of 0.70% compared with the price on last Wednesday (April 20). Compared with the price on the 26th, it fell by 1.81% and rose by 71.95% in a three-month cycle.

Analysis review

The domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide market fell this week. Recently, the price of upstream lithium carbonate continued to decline, dragging down the market atmosphere of lithium hydroxide. The foreign lithium hydroxide market demand was good and the market was strong. The domestic downstream spot purchase demand had weakened, the high nickel was still underperforming, and the lithium hydroxide market was running weakly.

Upstream lithium carbonate, on April 25, 2022, the price of lithium carbonate continued to decline. The production of lithium salt manufacturers at the supply end was stable, and the output increased steadily. In addition, the import volume of lithium carbonate continued to increase, which made the market supply competition increase. However, the demand side was affected by the domestic epidemic, the start-up situation was not optimistic, and the acceptance of high-priced lithium salts was low, and the demand slump continued.

Market outlook

The lithium hydroxide analyst of SunSirs believes that currently being dragged down by the upstream lithium carbonate market, coupled with the decline in domestic downstream demand, the market’s wait-and-see attitude has increased. It is expected that in the short term, the domestic industrial-grade lithium hydroxide market price may run under pressure.
