According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of August 15th, the average price of ECH quoted by ECH enterprises was 8,275.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.22% compared to last Friday (August 11th).

Analysis review

Recently, the ECH market saw a slight increase. Recently, the price of raw material propylene fluctuated and increased, and the price of raw material glycerol was mainly stable. Cost support was strengthened, and the supply side industry's capacity utilization rate was below 50%. The supply in the market was relatively low overall, supporting the rise of enterprise quotations. Downstream inquiries and procurement orders were mainly in needed, and the market had a strong wait-and-see mentality.

Upstream propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for propylene on August 14th was 6,788.25 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.12% compared to August 1st (6,713.25 RMB/ton).

Downstream epoxy resin, on August 14th, the reference price for epoxy resin was 14,566.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.58% compared to August 1st (14,200.00 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

Analysts from SunSirs believe that as of August 15th, cost support was still in place and there was currently no pressure on manufacturers' inventory. However, downstream follow-up was average, and it is expected that the ECH market may operate at a high level in the short term. More attention still needs to be paid to market news guidance.
