According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, as of June 9, the average price of ECH quoted by ECH enterprises was 8,212.50 RMB/ton, down 5.06% compared with the price on Monday.

Analysis review

The market of ECH fell this week. Recently, the price of raw propylene had fluctuated in a narrow range. The cost side of propylene method was general, and the cost of raw glycerin was adjusted in a narrow range. The cost of glycerin method was under great pressure, and the capacity utilization rate of the supply side industry had declined. However, the demand side performance was poor, and downstream mainly consumed raw materials inventories. The enthusiasm for market entry inquiry was not high, and the mentality of the operators was insufficient. The dealers gave up profits to ship, and the focus of ECH market negotiation declined.

Upstream propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for propylene on June 8th was 6,310.75 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.32% compared to June 1st (6,460.75 RMB/ton).

The downstream epoxy resin, according to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the reference price of epoxy resin was 8,275.00 RMB/ton on June 8, 4.89% lower than that on June 1 (8,700.00 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

Analysts of ECH from SunSirs believe that as of June 9, the demand side dominated the market, and the demand side follow-up was still insufficient. It is expected that the ECH market will be weak and wait-and –see in the short term, and more attention needs to be paid to the changes of supply side devices and raw material prices.
