According to Sina Finance, China's polysilicon prices remained firm last week while wafer and solar cell prices continued their downward trend. The global average polysilicon price edged up 0.1% to $6.85/kg, with the increase entirely driven by the appreciation of the renminbi.
Data indicates that China's premium polysilicon for n-type ingots saw a slight price reduction of 0.06-0.10 yuan/kg compared to the previous week.
Bernreuter Research maintained its China n-type polysilicon price index at CNY 51/kg (including 13% VAT, approximately USD 6.35/kg excluding tax) and p-type polysilicon at CNY 42.5/kg (approximately USD 5.29/kg excluding tax). InfoLink's non-China polysilicon price index remained stable at USD 18/kg.
Domestic polysilicon output declines have eased downward pressure on downstream pricing. The Silicon Industry Branch of the association forecasts November production at approximately 118,000 tons, down 14% from October's 137,000 tons; December output is expected to rebound to around 120,000 tons.
The Silicon Industry Branch stated that an implicit consensus has formed across the supply chain: continued polysilicon price declines could trigger a collapse of the entire industry's pricing structure, prompting companies to firmly maintain price stability.
As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices, on November 27, the benchmark price of polysilicon on SunSirs was 52,000.00RMB/ton, unchanged from the beginning of the month.
