SunSirs: China LNG Prices Rose 3% daily
January 29 2021 10:44:51SunSirs(Selena)

On January 27, the domestic LNG market rose by about 3%, and the LNG prices in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Ningxia and other places rose actively. The price in Shanxi increased 400 RMB/ ton. Last week, the price of LNG fell sharply, and the price was generally concentrated around 4,500 RMB/ ton. The high price fell down, and the market returned to rationality. This week, the LNG price stops falling and rises, but the rise slows down significantly compared with the previous period, and generally fluctuated in the range of 50-200 RMB/ ton. In recent days, the temperature has dropped, and the northern region is facing the rain and snow weather again. The demand of urban fuel has picked up, and the pressure of liquid plant's shipment is not big. At the same time, due to the rapid decline of price in the early stage and the sharp decrease of profit, the LNG plant actively supports the holiday. However, near the Spring Festival, downstream purchasing enthusiasm has declined, and the demand side may be weakened, and the LNG price in the future will continue to rise.

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the average price of domestic LNG on January 27 was 4,023.33 RMB/ ton, up 116.7 yuan or 2.99% higher than 3,906.67 RMB/ ton the day before, and 30.2% higher than the same period last year. Inner Mongolia rose 50-200 RMB/ ton, Shaanxi rose 30-250 RMB/ ton, Shanxi rose 150-400 RMB/ ton, Ningxia rose 100-150 RMB/ ton. The price of LNG rose positively.

SunSirs LNG analysts believe that: near the end of the month, the temperature drops, the northern region is facing rain and snow weather again, the demand of urban fuel has picked up, the pressure of liquid factory shipping is not big, and the price is actively supported. In the short term, the LNG price is still expected to rise, but Spring Festival is coming, the downstream users will stop work for holidays, the purchasing enthusiasm will decline, the demand side may weaken, and the LNG price in the future will continue to rise.
