According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic sodium metabisulfite price continued to move steadily at the bottom this week. The average price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 1,693.33 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 1,693.33 RMB/ton, up or down by zero.

Analysis review   

Product: In March, some companies still have not resumed production. Most companies resumed production. Sodium metabisulfite stocks rebounded. Subject to weak terminal demand, the domestic sodium metabisulfite market trade continued to be light. Supported by cost, the domestic sodium metabisulfite market price continues to move at the bottom this week. This week, the market price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite was 1,600-1,850 RMB/ton, and the prices of from mainstream start-up companies were around 1,600 RMB/ton.

Industrial chain: This week, the soda ash price was stable and the sulfur price continued to rise. The slight rise in raw material costs would support the market price of sodium metabisulfite in the future.

Market outlook

SunSirs analysts believe that raw material costs are picking up slightly, downstream demand is still weak. In the short term, the domestic sodium metabisulfite market price dilemma will continue to run at the bottom.
