On April 1, 2024, the national standard "Water saving Enterprise Paper Industry" (standard number: GB/T26927-2023) jointly drafted by Jinhai Pulp and Paper, Bohui Paper, Ningbo Ya Pulp, and Jinhongye under the APP China was officially implemented after being approved and released by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration.

A water-saving enterprise is an enterprise that adopts advanced and applicable management measures and water-saving technologies, and has been evaluated to achieve advanced water use efficiency in the domestic industry. Its series of standards have put forward relevant requirements for water intake, reuse, water leakage, metering, and other aspects, which is an important scale to promote enterprises to strengthen water-saving management and improve industrial water efficiency. The national standard for thermal paper has been approved and released

Thermal paper is a product standard for thermal information recording paper suitable for various types of cash registers, faxes, labels, bills, etc. that undergo chemical reactions through printer heating to present text, patterns, QR codes, and other information. During the process of drafting standards, Jindong Paper actively participated in the entire discussion and formulation of national standards for thermal sensitive paper. The new standard has added safety indicators and corresponding testing methods for the content of bisphenol A, and solved the technical problems in the original standard. It is of great significance for improving the safety, environmental protection, and sustainable production of thermosensitive paper products, and promoting the healthy development of the industry.

The standard atmospheric conditions for sample handling and testing of paper, paperboard, and pulp will be implemented in July

On December 28, 2023, the national standard "Standard Atmospheric Conditions for Sample Handling and Testing of Paper, Paperboard and Pulp" (Standard No.: GB/T10739-2023), drafted by Shandong Bohui, a subsidiary of the APP China, was approved and released. It will be officially implemented on July 1, 2024. This standard specifies the standard atmospheric conditions for temperature and humidity treatment and testing of paper, paperboard, and pulp before testing. It is under the jurisdiction of TC141 (National Technical Committee for Standardization of the Paper Industry) and the competent department is the China Light Industry Federation.

This revision mainly changes the requirements for laboratory testing equipment, technical indicators, and testing methods for constant temperature and humidity, helping to move the standard atmospheric conditions for temperature and humidity treatment and testing before paper, cardboard, and pulp testing towards a more scientific, standardized, and accurate direction.
