According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of August 24th, the average price of ECH quoted by ECH enterprises was 8,325.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.48% compared to Monday's price and a decrease of 26.97% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

This week, the market for ECH was weak. Recently, the price of raw material glycerol was mainly stable, while the price of raw material propylene had decreased. Cost support was weak, and the utilization rate of supply side production capacity was flat compared to the previous period. Downstream demand was weak, and mainly consumed inventory raw materials. The enthusiasm for inquiry procurement was insufficient, and small orders followed up just in needed. Holders were under pressure to ship, n enterprise quotations decreased.

Upstream propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for propylene on August 23 was 6,763.25 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.74% compared to August 1 (6,713.25 RMB/ton).

Downstream epoxy resin, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price of epoxy resin on August 23 was 14,666.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 3.29% compared to August 1 (14,200.00 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

ECH Analysts from SunSirs believe that there is insufficient positive support for the market, and it is expected that the ECH market will be mainly weak in the short term. More attention still needs to be paid to market news guidance.
