April 13 2023 13:23:38SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, cement in East China hd recently experienced a weak decline. This week's price was 422.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.24%, and a month on month increase of 0.24%. The current price had dropped by 18.22% compared to last year.

Analysis review

Recently, cement in some areas of East China had slightly declined. From the data of SunSirs, it can be seen that after a month of stable cement market in the spring of this year, prices started to decline recently. Cement prices in Jining, Zaozhuang, Linyi and other places in Shandong had declined by 10-20 RMB/ton. Recently, the market demand in East China had been weak, with weak enterprise shipments and an increase in inventory, resulting in a weak decline in the market.

The price of thermal coal was running to be weaker this week. In terms of production area, the coal mines in the production area had resumed production, and the overall supply had rebounded. However, the overall operation of thermal coal was mainly weak, and the main production area still mainly supplied for long-term agreement customers. Downstream demand was weak, and most of them maintained just in demand procurement. In terms of downstream ports, port prices were weak and the market trading atmosphere was average. Downstream demand was mainly based on on-demand procurement. The demand for coal in power plants had weakened, and market trading had been sluggish. Under weak demand, market confidence was insufficient. Poor raw material market had limited support for cement.

Downstream funding issues were still ongoing, and demand recovery was poor. Specifically, the marginal investment in real estate had weakened again and was still bottoming out in the short term, with weak support for the cement market.

Market outlook

According to the prediction of SunSirs, the spring off-season gradually entered recently, cement was not selling well and inventory was rising. Therefore, cement product analysts from SunSirs believe that in the short term, the cement market will mainly decline.
