According to data from SunSirs, the domestic refrigerant R22 ex-factory price rise sharply this week. On November 11th, the average price of the mainstream manufacturers is RMB 15,266.67 yuan/ton. And the average price on weekend (15th) is RMB 16,000 yuan/ton, with a weekly increase on 4.8% and a year-on-year decline at 13.51%.
Market Analysis
Products: The R22 market price of the refrigerant market rises sharply this week. There are few quotas at the end of year. And small packages are in short supply. The trading atmosphere turns better. The raw material-chloroform’s support is strong. The manufacturers have a strong sense of increasing price, but currently downstream’s enthusiasm for high-priced R22 procurement is lower than before. The wait-and-see attitude is gradually dominated the market. As per data from SunSirs, up to 15th November, the average price of refrigerant R22 is RMB 16,000 yuan/ton, and the price is mainly around RMB 12,500 -16,500 yuan/ton.
Industry chain: For upstream, hydrofluoric acid, its domestic market price has dropped sharply. The domestic hydrofluoric acid plant operates stably. The supply of goods in the market is sufficient. The market of hydrofluoric acid is not good, and the market price has been falling. Another upstream is chloroform. Its domestic market price is affected by extensive examine and repair and loading reduction of companies. The spot supply of chloroform in Shandong is tight, and the price continues to soar from the beginning of November, which supports the price of refrigerant R22.
Industry: According to data from SunSirs, in the 44th week of 2019 (11.4-11.8), 15 kinds of commodities in the chemical sector have an increase. Among them, 2 have a more than 5% increases, accounting for 2.4% of the number of monitored products in this sector. Top 3 commodity is R22 (+7.76%), acetone (+5.71%) and chloroform (+2.83%). On the other hand, there were 36 kinds of commodities with a decrease on year-on-year basis while 5 of them have a more than 5% decease, accounting for 5.9% of the number of monitored commodities. The top 3 products were epichlorohydrin (-8.77%) and ammonium sulfate ( -7.84%), hydrogen peroxide (-7.21%). This week's average price increase was -0.68%.
Market Forecasting
