The latest data shows that Cote d'Ivoire exported 1.05 million tons of rubber in the first eight months of 2025, a 14.4% increase from 920,000 tons in the same period of 2024.
Looking at August data alone, exports increased by 14.8% year-on-year, but decreased by 8.9% month-on-month.
Cote d'Ivoire is a major natural rubber producer in Africa. Rubber exports have increased year-on-year in recent years, as farmers, driven by stable returns, have switched from cocoa to rubber.
