Recently, the Jilin Provincial Non-Ferrous Metals Geologic Prospecting Bureau has made an important breakthrough in mineral exploration in the Yanbian area, discovering a large gold ore bed, with a proven gold ore stone volume of 63.6 million tons and a gold metal content of 211 tons.
Since June 2023, the Jilin Non-ferrous Metals Geological Exploration Bureau has systematically sorted out historical data, adhered to the principle of "expanding on the surface, making breakthroughs at key points, and driving the overall situation with key points", and followed the idea of "extending to the edges in strike direction and to the bottom in dip direction", marching towards the deep part of the work area. In April 2025, all field work was completed, with a cumulative drilling of 34,000 meters, adit exploration of over 2,000 meters, as well as a large amount of hydrogeological, engineering geological and environmental geological surveys, sampling tests and other work.
In September of this year, the resource reserve report was reviewed and filed with the Jilin Provincial Department of Natural Resources. The deposit is located in the eastern section of the Hui Nan-Hua Dian-He Long gold (iron) metallogenic belt, controlled by a ductile shear zone, and the ore bodies are hosted in the altered fault zone as vein and lenticular occurrences, belonging to the low-temperature metamorphic-hydrothermal type gold deposit.
