According to data from SunSirs, seamless tubes saw a slight increase this week. As of the weekend, the prices of seamless pipes 20# and 108 * 4.5 were quoted at 4,625 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.11% compared to the beginning of the week and a year-on-year decrease of 16.59%.

Analysis review

This week's national inventory of 783,000 tons, increased by 14,100 tons compared to last week. The national seamless tube production rate was 59.72%, an increase of 1.6% compared to last week.

Recently, due to seasonal factors, the prices of upstream raw materials were relatively strong, and the prices of pipe billets had fluctuated at high levels. The profit margin of seamless tubes was hovering at the profit and loss margin. As the rainy season approached in July, the shipment situation of pipe factories was poor. Recently, policies had been frequent, and macroeconomic data such as export data had been positive, which had a certain positive impact on sentiment. However, recently, there had been varying degrees of heavy rain in North China, Southwest, East China, and other regions, so downstream demand was still weak. The seamless tube warehouse had been in a downward state since June.
