SunSirs: Under the Superposition of Favorable Factors, the Price of Ammonium Sulfate Soared
October 25 2021 13:41:44SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the domestic average ex-factory price of ammonium sulfate was 1,303 RMB/ton on October 18, and the domestic average ex-factory price of ammonium sulfate was 1,840 RMB/ton on October 22. The price of ammonium sulfate increased by 41.18% in this week.

Analysis review

The price of ammonium sulfate rose sharply this week, ranging from 500-1,000 RMB/ton. The domestic market for ammonium sulfate was relatively good, and companies began to raise prices on Tuesday. Foreign demand was strong and orders were increasing. Due to better demand and tight supply, downstream procurement was active. Part of the CPL device was overhauled, and the supply was reduced. This week, the mainstream ex-factory price of ammonium sulfate in Shandong area was 2,000-2,200 RMB/ton, the mainstream ex-factory price of ammonium sulfate in Hebei area was 1,900-2,150 RMB/ton, and the mainstream ex-factory price of ammonium sulfate in Shanxi area was 1,600-2,200 RMB/ton.

The downstream compound fertilizer market was unstable this week, and some companies suspended their quotations. Due to the increase in the price of compound fertilizer raw materials, the cost increased. The terminal purchased on demand, the transaction volume was average, and the market was mostly on the sidelines. The compound fertilizer market will fluctuate slightly in the short term.

Market outlook

The ammonium sulfate analyst of SunSirs believes that due to the impact of environmental protection production restrictions and dual control, it is difficult to increase the supply of ammonium sulfate. At present, domestic and foreign demand is following up, and the market for sulfuric acid is better. Under the superposition of multiple positives, it is expected that the price of ammonium sulfate will continue to rise in the short term.
