Analysis review

This week, the price of bromine had increased, with the mainstream market price in Shandong region being around 18,000-20,000 RMB/ton, and the market price had slightly increased. Various bromine manufacturers were temporarily operating normally in brine enterprises, and their supply was relatively stable. Recently, the supply of imported bromine had been average, and downstream flame retardants and intermediates industries were still mainly purchasing on demand. The transaction situation was average, and there was a strong wait-and-see sentiment. In terms of raw materials, domestic sulfur prices had risen, with an average market price of 1,203.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and 1,243.33 RMB/ton at the end of the week, an increase of 3.32% and 39.18% compared to the same period last year.

Market outlook

The price of bromine had recently risen, while the price of upstream sulfur had risen. The supply of imported bromine had been limited recently, which was beneficial for domestic bromine manufacturers. The downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine were still mainly purchasing according to demand, with moderate replenishment. It is expected that the price of bromine will fluctuate in the short term, depending on the downstream market demand.
