In terms of cost

Pure benzene: The domestic price of pure benzene had slightly decreased this week. On April 16th, the price of pure benzene was 8,707 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.18% from last week. The trading volume in the petroleum benzene market was flat. The holding party was reluctant to sell at a low price, while the demand side continued to be bearish and there were differences in negotiations. Most refineries in Shandong had been experiencing continuous poor shipments, and the prices continued to decline, with small orders in demand being sold.

Nitric acid: The domestic price of nitric acid had slightly increased this week. On April 16th, the price of nitric acid was 1,753 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.93% compared to last week. The quotation for concentrated nitric acid had increased, and there were more inquiries in the nitric acid market. Supported by costs, the price of nitric acid had risen, and the market transaction atmosphere was positive.

In terms of demand

There is currently no significant rebound in market demand, and customers with demand for dyes, pesticide intermediates, and other products are in urgent need of purchasing. Downstream trading is not active.

Market outlook

Overall, the shipment of meta phenylenediamine remained stable, mainly based on orders, with a focus on market transactions in the later stage. It is expected that the price of meta phenylenediamine will remain stable.
