SunSirs: Russia's Maritime Petroleum Product Exports in January Decreased by 8.6% Year-on-year

According to foreign power on February 15th, according to industry data calculations, due to a decrease in processing volume and unplanned maintenance work at refineries, Russia's sea freight refined oil exports in January decreased by 8.6% compared to the same period last year to 10.792 million tons, a decrease of 2% compared to the previous month.

Kommersant reported that in the past two months, several large Russian refineries have been attacked by drones, resulting in production interruptions. Affected by this, the oil processing volume in January decreased by 4% year-on-year, a decrease of 1.4% compared to the previous month.

According to market data, the quantity of refined oil exported through Baltic ports Primorsk, Vysotsk, St. Petersburg, and Ust Luga decreased by 13.7% year-on-year to 5.646 million tons last month, a decrease of 6% compared to the previous month.

Last month, the amount of fuel exported through Russia's Black Sea and Sea of Azov ports was 4.296 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%.

The quantity of refined oil exported from Russian Arctic ports Murmansk and Arkhangelsk decreased by 10.6% year-on-year to 184,100 tons.

In January, the amount of fuel shipped from Russian Far East ports increased by 24.3% compared to the same period last year, to 666,300 tons.

Last year, Russia announced a voluntary reduction of 300,000 barrels per day and 200,000 barrels per day in crude oil and fuel exports compared to the average levels from May to June 2023 to support the energy market.
