December 26 2023 10:36:35SunSirs(John)

The price of plasticizer DOP rose first and then fell this week

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of December 22, the price of DOP was 11,800 RMB/ton, which increased and then decreased compared to the price of 11,716.67 RMB/ton on December 15, with an increase of 0.71%; Compared to December 19th, the price of 11,908.33 RMB/ton decreased by 0.91%. The prices of raw materials rose first and then fell, while the cost support for plasticizer DOP decreased. This week, DOP prices rose first and then fell.

The price of 2-EH rose first and then fell this week

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of December 22nd, the price of 2-EH was 12,775 RMB/ton, which increased and then decreased compared to the price of 2-EH on December 15th, which was 12,650 RMB/ton, with an increase of 0.99%. This week, the operating rate of downstream plasticizers had fallen, and large plasticizer manufacturers were in urgent need of procurement. The transaction volume of 2-EH was poor, and the high price support for 2-EH was insufficient. The main manufacturers of 2-EH were offering discounts for sales, and 2-EH products stopped rising and fell.

Market outlook

SunSirs’ plasticizer product data analysts believe that the plasticizer DOP market was mainly characterized by short-term cyclical transactions. This week, the operating load of plasticizer factories had decreased, the demand for 2-EH had decreased, the price of 2-EH had declined, and the price of plasticizers had fallen from a high level. The cost and demand gamed, and in the future, DOP prices will mainly fluctuate and consolidate.
