According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the epichlorohydrin market fell this week. This week, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market price increased sharply. Since Thursday and Friday, some companies have shown a slight upward trend. This week, the propylene increased by 8.45%. At the beginning of the week, the average price of the company was a weekly low price of 6,103 RMB/ton; on the weekend, the average price of the company was a weekly high price of 6,618 RMB/ton.

Industrial:

According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, in the week 07 of 2020 (2.17-2.21), the commodity price rise and fall of the commodity sector in the chemical sector increased by 26 types, among which there were 4 types of products that increased by more than 5%, accounting for the monitored products in this sector. The top three commodities were crude benzene (8.74%), propylene (8.45%), and ethanol (6.16%). There were a total of 19 types of goods that were down from the previous month. The top three products were hydrogen peroxide (-4.78%), acetic acid (-4.24%), and TDI (-4.05%). This week the average increase or decrease was 0.1%.

Market outlook

Epichlorohydrin analysts believe that this week's upstream propylene trend has risen, and cost support has strengthened. The downstream epoxy resin plant's start-up load is slowly increasing, and more of the raw materials are consumed. The demand is lower than expected. The atmosphere on the sidelines is strong. It is estimated that in the short term, the epichlorohydrin market may be consolidating and operating. It is recommended to pay attention to the guidance of logistics transportation and downstream operation.
