According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of September 26th, the average price of ECH quoted by ECH enterprises was 8,400.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.13% compared to September 1st.

Analysis review

The market price of ECH slightly increased in September. In the first half of the month, the price of raw material glycerol was mainly stable, while the price of raw material propylene fluctuated slightly, with some cost support. The industry's capacity utilization rate was below 50%, and some enterprises had no inventory pressure. Downstream inquiries into the market increased, driving the steady increase in enterprise quotations. In the second half of the month, the price of raw material glycerol fell, and the price of raw material propylene declined narrowly. Cost support was weak, and supply side support remained. After downstream restocking, small orders just in needed with suitable prices mainly followed up. As the holiday approached, market trading slowed down, and the focus of negotiations was mainly stable.

Upstream propylene, on September 25th, the reference price for propylene was 7,270.75 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.21% compared to September 1st (7,113.25 RMB/ton).

Downstream epoxy resin, on September 25th, the reference price for epoxy resin was 15,266.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 5.53% compared to September 1st (14,466.67 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

Analysts from SunSirs believe that as of September 26th, there was no pressure on manufacturers' inventory, which had some support for the market. Downstream pre holiday stocking was approaching the end, and the market atmosphere was average. It is expected that the ECH market may be stagnant and wait-and-see in a short time, and more attention needs to be paid to market news guidance.
