On December 4th, the commodity price index BPI was 891 points, unchanged from yesterday, a decrease of 33.66% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 35.00% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 4, 2024, there were a total of 43 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (16 in total) and the energy sector (9 in total). Commodities with an increase of more than 5% were mainly concentrated in the chemical sector; The top three products with the highest increase are hydrochloric acid (6.98%), WTI crude oil (2.70%), and natural rubber (2.59%). There were a total of 27 products that showed a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (11 in total) and agricultural and sideline industries (6 in total). The top 3 products with the highest decline were rapeseed oil (-2.72%), bromine (-1.79%), and n-propanol (-1.69%).
