Official statistics from Kazakhstan show that the oilseed production in 2025 will reach a record high of 4.95 million tons. By comparison, the production in 2024 and 2023 will be 3.33 million tons and 2.18 million tons, respectively.
Kazakhstan's oilseed production reached a record high of 4.95 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 48.6%. As the main raw material for rapeseed meal, the supply has increased significantly, and spot prices are facing downward pressure. Oversupply may suppress demand. In terms of the futures market, combined with recent contracts such as 2605 (closing price of 2303 RMB/ton, up 30 RMB), although there is currently a slight increase, the expectation of oversupply may trigger a sell-off, leading to a future price correction.
The production of oilseeds has surged to 4.95 million tons, with sufficient supply of raw materials. The spot price of rapeseed oil is under pressure and bearish, as the increase in inventory may lower the market transaction price. In terms of futures, the reference contract is 2605 (closing price of 9,047 RMB/ton, up 6 RMB). The current upward trend is suppressed by production news, and the expectation of supply growth may lead to a downward adjustment in futures prices.
