SunSirs: The Decline in China Rapeseed Oil Inventory Benefits the Market
January 29 2026 15:05:41     SunSirs (Selena)
As of January 23, the total inventory of rapeseed oil in major regions of China was 254,500 tons, a decrease of 21,500 tons from last week.
The national rapeseed oil inventory decreased by 21,500 tons to 254,500 tons compared to last week, a decrease of about 8.4%, indicating a tightening supply side and favorable spot prices. Combined with the futures market, the main contract for rapeseed oil (such as the 2605 contract) has recently closed up by 49 RMB/ton, indicating an increase in bullish sentiment due to changes in holdings. The news of inventory decline may further support the upward trend of futures prices and strengthen bullish expectations.
