SunSirs: China Rapeseed Oil Supply Is Tight, Supporting Prices
January 26 2026 09:29:32     SunSirs (Selena)
According to monitoring data from SunSirs, the average price of rapeseed oil spot market on January 19th was 9,906 RMB/ton, and on January 23rd it was 9,976 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.71% during this period.
Recently, the price of rapeseed oil has risen, and short-term core support is that the spot supply of rapeseed oil continues to be tight. Currently, Australian rapeseed has not yet entered the pressing stage, and domestic oil factories have shut down, resulting in stagnant rapeseed oil production and continued tight supply. The demand for holiday stocking supports the rapeseed oil market. Expected implementation of the Meishengchai policy. Main downward pressure: Strong expectation of increased long-term supply: The improvement of China Canada economic and trade relations and the expected increase in Canadian rapeseed imports will improve the domestic rapeseed oil supply pattern and exert pressure on rapeseed oil prices in the long term.
In the short term: supply recovery has not yet been realized, supported by expectations for firewood production; The expected increase in imports is mainly due to fluctuations in rapeseed oil prices.
