According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of October 30, the average price of industrial lithium hydroxide of domestic lithium hydroxide enterprises was 518,333.34 RMB/ton, up 7.61% from October 1, up 9.51% in a three-month cycle, and up 211.62% year on year.

Analysis review

The domestic lithium hydroxide market rose in October. From the cost perspective: the upstream lithium carbonate price continued to rise this month, the upstream spodumene price was high, and the cost side had strong support for lithium hydroxide, boosting the market mentality. From the supply and demand side, the spot supply of the market was tight, the demand of downstream ternary high nickel was steadily rising, and the purchasing enthusiasm was high. The purchase of downstream lithium base grease market was mainly in demand, and the export order was good, so the supply and demand side had good supports for the market.

The upstream lithium carbonate, according to the price monitoring of SunSirs, in October 2022, the prices of industrial and battery grade lithium carbonate continued to show an upward trend, and the prices continued to rise. On October 28, the reference price of lithium carbonate industrial grade was 559,000.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 11.53% compared with October 1 (501,200.00 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

Lithium hydroxide analysts from SunSirs believe that at present, the upstream lithium carbonate price is strong, the cost support is strong, the supply side is short of spot, and the downstream demand is high.
