Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, last week (9.16-9.23) the vinyl cyanide market was strong. As of September 23, the domestic spot market price of vinyl cyanide was 9,830 RMB/ton, up 0.20% from the price of 9,810 RMB/ton on last Friday. Last week, the operating rate of the supply side of the domestic vinyl cyanide industry was basically stable, and the overall operating rate was 60-70%. The downstream stock was slightly stocked before the holiday, and the merchants' offer was firm. As of September 23, the mainstream offer of the vinyl cyanide bulk water market in East China was between 9,600 and 10,000 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

Last week (9.16-9.23), the price of raw material propylene fell slightly, and the cost side still had support. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of September 23, the domestic price of propylene was 7,430 RMB/ton, down 0.05% from last Friday's 7,434 RMB/ton.

Driven by export inquiries, the operating rate of downstream ABS continued to increase. In September, the operating rate of ABS increased to more than 90%; domestic acrylic fiber production was at a low level of 30% to 40%; nitrile rubber and acrylamide started stable, and the demand side of vinyl cyanide was supported by rigid demand mainly.

Market outlook

The vinyl cyanide analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost and demand side of vinyl cyanide have certain support, and it is expected that the vinyl cyanide market will continue to be strong in the short term.
