Price trend

The latest price of ethylene glycol on June 2 was 5,000 RMB/ton, which was unchanged from the previous trading day.

Analysis review

On the 2nd, WTI crude oil futures and Brent crude oil fell within the day, and the cost side was weakly adjusted. The ethylene glycol external market stabilized. The recently negotiated price of cargoes was around 624 US dollars/ton. The MEG operating rate dropped slightly, the port inventory remained high, the downstream market was light, and the polyester market had not improved significantly.

Market outlook

The fundamentals do not show an obvious positive trend, and ethylene glycol will continue to fluctuate within a narrow range at a low valuation.
