The Southern Malaysian Palm Oil Association (SPPOMMA) reported that palm oil production in South Malaysia decreased by 0.19% month-on-month in November.
Meanwhile, the palm oil industry association in Indonesia, the world's largest palm oil supplier, stated that recent floods, landslides, and cyclones in Sumatra have not caused significant production losses.
On the demand side, India's palm oil imports are projected to rise to 9.3 million tons in 2025/26, up from 7.58 million tons last year (the lowest level in five years), mainly driven by strong food demand and more attractive prices.
However, recent signs of declining palm oil exports have limited further price increases. Shipping surveyors reported that Malaysian palm oil exports fell by 15.9% to 19.7% month-on-month in November.
