Major bamboo products have achieved a double increase in production efficiency and added value. Up to now, the number of bamboo product types has exceeded 15,000, and the annual output value of the bamboo industry has exceeded 520 billion CNY.
It is reported that since the implementation of the three-year action plan to accelerate the development of "bamboo replacing plastic", through the implementation of a series of safeguard measures and key actions, the bamboo industry has continued to develop in clusters, and the industrial ecology has been continuously optimized. Relevant departments and major bamboo-producing areas have continuously increased investment in science and technology, actively developed bamboo products that meet market demand, and cultivated a number of leading enterprises with complete industrial chains and strong driving capabilities, forming an efficient full-bamboo utilization model where "every part of a bamboo is fully utilized". At present, there are more than 10,000 bamboo processing enterprises in China, the entire industrial chain employs more than 29 million people, and the annual output value of the bamboo industry in nearly 10 counties and cities across the country exceeds 10 billion CNY.
China has nearly 8 million hectares of bamboo forests, with an annual bamboo production of 150 million tons. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, China will further improve the policy support system, increase support for the development of circular economy in the bamboo industry, and strengthen the construction of a full-chain standard system for "bamboo substituting plastic" product technologies. At the same time, it will strengthen the in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, build a highly competitive bamboo industry cluster, and lead the comprehensive transformation and upgrading of "bamboo substituting plastic".
