Price trend
According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the aniline market saw a slight increase last week. The price was 7,932 RMB/ton on October 13th and 7,995 RMB/ton on October 17th, a weekly increase of 0.79% and a year-on-year decrease of 25.28%.
Analysis review
The aniline market continued to see slight increases last week, with mainstream prices reaching 7,950-7,800 RMB/ton. Shandong Huatai's production capacity decreased to 70% during the week. Shandong Jinling's two 30,000-ton/year units were scheduled to be fully shut down from October 13th to the 23rd, while two 100,000-ton/year units were scheduled to operate at half capacity from October 11th to the 23rd. Maintenance work in major production areas had reduced supply, prompting suppliers to push prices higher.
Cost side: Last week, the benzene market fell weakly, the contradiction between supply and demand intensified, the domestic benzene inventory remained high, and the downstream industries such as phenol and styrene were generally in a loss-making state. Only caprolactam maintained rigid procurement supported by textile demand, and the weak fundamentals were difficult to change.
Market outlook
After the aniline market experienced a wave of growth, the positive factors on the supply side had been exhausted, the downstream purchasing speed had slowed down, and the cost side was also dragging down. It is expected that the aniline market will fluctuate and weaken in the short term.
