The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Weekly Export Inspections Report shows that U.S. corn export inspections last week fell short of market expectations, down 34% from a week earlier, but up 120% year-over-year. For the week ending October 9, 2025, U.S. corn export inspections totaled 1,129,708 tons, compared to a revised 1,701,634 tons the previous week and 514,100 tons a year earlier.

Before the report's release, analysts had expected corn export inspections to range from 1.2 million to 1.675 million tons.

No U.S. corn shipments were made to China that week, nor were there any shipments made last week.

So far in the 2025/2026 marketing year, U.S. corn export inspections totaled 7,940,145 tons, up 65.0% year-over-year, up 56.1% last week, and up 52.1% two weeks prior.

So far in the 2025/2026 marketing year, corn export inspections have met 10.5% of the USDA's target, compared to 8.9% last week.
