Price trend
According to the SunSirs commodity market analysis system, the aniline market remained stable last week. Prices were 7,550 RMB/ton on August 18 and 22, respectively, showing no weekly increase or decrease, and a 27.09% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Analysis review
Shandong aniline prices remained stagnant and consolidated last week. Aniline manufacturers faced significant inventory pressure, driven by downstream demand and small-scale transactions. Raw material benzene fluctuated within a narrow range, with reasonable cost support. A lack of favorable market support led to a consolidation in the aniline market.
Cost: Benzene prices fluctuated slightly last week. As the month-end approaching, downstream purchases were nearing completion, increasing pressure on intermediaries to ship goods, and the transaction center was declining. Overall, increased imports and the commissioning of new production capacity had weakened demand, and weak fundamentals had kept the benzene market sluggish from rising.
Market outlook
As of August 22, aniline enterprises were experiencing difficulty in destocking, and the focus of transactions had loosened. It is expected that the aniline market will be weaker in the short term.
