The monthly data released by the Indian Refining Association (SEA) shows that India's palm oil imports reached an 11 month high in June, as palm oil prices were lower than competitors such as soybean oil and sunflower seed oil, prompting refineries to increase their purchases of palm oil to replenish depleted inventories.
According to SEA data, the import volume of palm oil in June was 955,683 tons, an increase of 61.2% from 592,888 tons in May, reaching the highest level since July 2024.
