In terms of upstream raw materials: Last week, the price of waste paper in Zhejiang region slightly increased, while the price of waste paper in domestic paper mills remained stable with small fluctuations. On June 5, 2025, the average purchase price of A-grade waste yellow board paper in Zhejiang region was 1,522 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.26% compared to the average price on June 1. After the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, paper mills continued to operate, and the inventory of waste paper slightly decreased. Some paper mills raised the price of waste paper to increase the amount of waste paper received in order to fill the inventory.

Supply side: After the Dragon Boat Festival, the production of paper mills has been stable. With the improvement and recovery of the export market, the inventory of corrugated paper in the paper mills has decreased. In addition, the raw material waste paper still has a strong trend, which provides favorable support for market prices. But in the state of supply and demand game, the price of corrugated paper returns to stability.

On the demand side: After the holiday, the demand for corrugated paper in the market slightly slowed down, and the bullish sentiment in the market slightly cooled down. Due to the rapid increase in the previous period, there may be a brief correction. Several paper companies issued price increase letters before the holiday, and the current market is digesting the implementation of price increases, with a strong wait-and-see sentiment.
