Analysis review

This week, the market for ECH was mainly stable. Recently, the price of raw material glycerol had dropped, and the market for raw material propylene was weak and stable. The cost support was average, and the industry's capacity utilization rate was below 50%. There was no pressure on supply side inventory, supporting manufacturers' price mentality. After downstream restocking, mainly small orders that just needed followed up at the appropriate price. Market trading was cautious and wait-and-see. On the 21st, the mainstream negotiation price of ECH in the Shandong region was around 8,300-8,500 RMB/ton.

Upstream propylene, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for propylene on September 20th was 7,313.25, an increase of 2.81% compared to September 1st (7,113.25 RMB/ton).

Downstream epoxy resin, according to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the reference price for epoxy resin on September 20th was 15,466.67, an increase of 6.91% compared to September 1st (14,466.67 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

Analysts from SunSirs believe that as of September 21, supply side support still existed and the demand side was average. It is expected that the ECH market may remain stable in the short term, and more attention still needs to be paid to changes in the market supply and demand side.
