Price influencing factors:

Raw material side: The supply of raw material glycerol in the market was tight, and with some factories selling out their orders in July, it is expected that prices will mainly rise in the short term. The market price of raw material propylene also showed a stronger trend. Overall, the cost support of epichlorohydrin was strong, and the price had shown a trend of rising. According to the market analysis system of SunSirs, as of July 2nd, the benchmark price of propylene in SunSirs was 6,743.25 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.33% compared to the beginning of this month (6,720.75 RMB/ton).

Supply side: This week, the spot market for epichlorohydrin was slightly tight, and some companies had insufficient production. The utilization rate of domestic industry capacity was around 50%. It was difficult to find low-priced goods in the market, but the trading atmosphere was still acceptable. Multiple positive news had boosted, and it is expected that the price of epichlorohydrin will continue to rise in the short term.

On the demand side: Due to high cost pressure, some companies in the downstream epoxy resin market had seen price increases, but the enthusiasm for terminal inquiries was average, and the market performance was cautious and wait-and-see. Small orders for essential needs were the main focus, and the fluctuation of the trading center was limited.
