SunSirs: China Corn Prices fluctuated and moved forward Last Week (June 5-9)
June 14 2023 09:29:34SunSirs(Selena)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, domestic corn prices have been fluctuating, with an average price of 2,701.43 RMB/ton for yellow corn at the beginning of the week and 2,705.71 RMB/ton for the weekend, a slight increase of 0.16 RMB.

Entering June, the high temperature and rainy weather in China have increased since the beginning of summer, making it more difficult for grain transportation. In addition, many trading entities have turned their attention to new wheat, resulting in a decrease in the trade volume of the corn market. The arrival volume of corn at ports and downstream deep processing enterprises continues to be low. In order to ensure production, enterprises have raised prices and replenished inventory, driving the domestic corn market to operate at a stronger price. After effectively replenishing downstream inventory, corn purchase prices have been lowered again, The overall price of domestic corn market is fluctuating and moving forward.

Corn domestic egg prices continue to be weak, falling by 3.55% during the week. Pig prices have been fluctuating and moving forward, with a slight decrease of 0.14% during the week. The breeding industry continues to experience low prices, causing losses. Farmers' enthusiasm for restocking will continue to decline, and the demand for corn feed will continue to be sluggish.

SunSirs corn product analyst believes that there is a decrease in high-quality surplus grain available for circulation in the market, and the mentality of grain storage and trade entities to be reluctant to sell and hold back prices is becoming stronger. As a result, the domestic corn market prices have generally remained stable and strong in June. Imported corn and its substitutes continue to arrive in Hong Kong, and the breeding industry is in a downturn. In addition, a large number of low-priced malt wheat has impacted the demand for corn feed, leading to a strong wait-and-see attitude among industry chain trading entities. In the short term, under the pressure of many bearish conditions, the corn market price continues to rebound and lacks momentum.
