According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of plasticizer DOP soared after the holiday, and the DOP market rose. As of February 19, the DOP price was 1,1600.00 RMB/ton, a sharp increase of 1,0050.00 RMB/ton from the pre-holiday DOP price, an increase of 15.42%.

It can be seen from the price chart of 2-EH that the price of 2-EH has soared after the holiday, and the price of 2-EH has risen to about 13,000 RMB/ton. Before the holiday, the operating rate of 2-EH equipment was low, the supply of 2-EH was insufficient, and the supply of 2-EH was slightly tight. There is still room for price increase, and DOP has a strong upward momentum.

It can be seen from the PA trend chart that the price of PA rose slightly after the holiday, the market for PA rose, the cost of raw material PA rose, and the momentum for DOP increases.

Market outlook

The DOP data analyst of SunSirs believes that the prices of DOP raw materials, 2-EH and PA, have risen after the holiday, and the cost of DOP raw materials has risen. The increase in DOP has a greater momentum. The post-holiday increase in DOP prices is cost-driven, with limited DOP demand and insufficient support from downstream increases. DOP manufacturers will start construction around February 21st, and most of the industry chain customers will start construction around the 26th. DOP supply and demand are basically balanced. DOP downstream is more resistant to high prices, and downstream customers are less motivated to purchase. In general, DOP is affected by the increase in raw material prices and may still increase sharply in the near future, but downstream customers are less enthusiastic about purchasing, and the transaction situation of DOP is not optimistic. After the fifteenth day of the first month, as customers in the industrial chain resume work in full, DOP demand will rise, DOP transaction enthusiasm will pick up, and DOP prices will stabilize. However, whether the high-priced DOP can be maintained is still difficult to determine.
