According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of plasticizer DOP rose sharply this week. As of December 21, the average price of DOP was 10,533.33 RMB/ton, a sharp increase from the DOP price at the beginning of the week, an increase of 8.97%.

The market of upstream in the industry chain

It can be seen from the 2-EH price chart that the 2-EH price has skyrocketed this week, an increase of 16.10%. Affected by the emergency maintenance and shutdown of the n-butanol plant, the price of n-butanol rose sharply, which led to a sharp rise in the price of 2-EH. The cost of DOP increased and the momentum of DOP increased.

The market of downstream in the industry chain

It can be seen from the PVC price chart that the price of PVC fluctuated slightly this week. The PVC market fluctuated and fell, DOP demand fell, DOP rising support weakened, and the plasticizer DOP market was bearish.

Market outlook

The DOP data analyst of SunSirs believes that the price of 2-EH has soared this week, driving up the price of DOP. Supported by DOTP consumption, the supply of 2-EH has been tight recently, and the price of 2-EH has increased in the future. The cost of DOP raw materials has risen. However, in terms of demand, DOP prices are high, downstream customers are more resistant, and the PVC market is weakening, and DOP demand is insufficient. In the market outlook, the expected increase in the price of 2-EH will support the DOP to follow the rise, but the lack of demand has led to the lack of momentum for the DOP to rise, which is not enough to support the continuous rise of the DOP. It is expected that the DOP market will maintain strong stability after the market ises.
