SunSirs: Caustic Soda Market Prices in Shandong Fell on March 10

On March 10, the price of caustic soda in Shandong declined, and the mainstream offer was about 530-580 RMB/ton. The caustic soda market in Inner Mongolia is about 1,300-1,350 RMB/ton (price 100% consistency), and the caustic soda market in Jiangsu is about 650-700 RMB/ton. According to news, the purchase price of liquid alumina from Shandong alumina companies has been lowered by 30 RMB/ton, and the market sentiment is rather empty. Recently, the operating load of chlor-alkali enterprises has increased rapidly. The 800,000-ton / year plant in Jinling, Shandong has resumed operation, and the market supply has increased. However, the demand recovery has been slow, and the market is showing a situation where supply exceeds demand. The willingness to trade in the caustic soda market is not high, and the transactions are tepid. At present, the overall start-up of caustic soda enterprises is slowly recovering, the supply side is increasing, and the market is showing an oversupply situation. The downstream market has a poor demand, and downstream alumina has limited support for caustic soda. Alumina is still affected by the tight supply of aluminum ore. It has been difficult to improve the start of construction. The demand for caustic soda is limited, and the overall support for caustic soda is weak. At present, the trading atmosphere in the market is relatively light.
