SunSirs: DOP Price Rises as the Spring Festival Approaching (January 6-10)

According to the data of SunSirs, the market of plasticizer DOP fell first and then rose after the new year's day, and the price of DOP rose in the near future. As of January 11, the price of DOP in East China was 7,300.00 RMB/ton, up 50.00 RMB/ton, or 0.69%, compared with 7,250.00 RMB/ton on January 7, and down 15.44% compared with the same period last year.

 

Analysis review   

After new year's day, the price of DOP raw material phthalic anhydride fell, the cost of plasticizer decreased, which was negative for DOP market.

In terms of octanol, the price of octanol fluctuated slightly after new year's day, which was negative for DOP market, but the overall price of octanol fell limited, which was less negative for DOP.

 

Market outlook

DOP data analyst of SunSirs believes that the cost of DOP fell after the New Year's Day, and the pressure on DOP was greater. The drop in costs caused the price of DOP to fall after the holiday.
