The market price of ECH rose this week. According to the data of SunSirs’ bulk list, as of December 27, the average price of ECH companies was 12,666.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.11% compared with the beginning of the week, and a decrease of 3.06% compared with November 27.

Analysis review

Recently, some factories have stopped for maintenance. The overall operating rate of the market has not been high. Holders have maintained a strong market mentality, but the downstream demand has not followed up, and the purchasing enthusiasm has not been high. Just need replenishment mainly, the market transaction atmosphere is general. On December 25, the mainstream market price of ECH in Shandong was around 11,900-12,000 RMB/ton.

Upstream propylene, on December 25, the market price of propylene in Shandong generally declined. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, propylene prices continued to rise in late November, with an increase of over 12%. From the end of the month to the beginning of the month, the price stabilized again. On the 4th, an overall upward trend began. From the 3rd to the 8th, the price rose by about 450 RMB/ton, an increase of 5.90%. The price remained stable on the 9th. On the 10th, individual companies made up for the increase, and some companies' prices fell slightly. On the 11th, the prices began to fall twice, and the decline continued on weekends. They had fallen by 200-250 RMB/ton on the 14th. Prices began to stabilize on the 15th and went up individually on weekends. On the 21st, the price remained stable after an overall increase of about 50 RMB/ton. On the 24th, it declined individually. On the 28th, it generally fell by 50-100 RMB/ton. The current market transaction is between 7800-8150 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price is 7,800-7,850 RMB/ton. The inventory of manufacturers is general, and sales are slightly deserted.

Downstream epoxy resin, the epoxy resin market was weak on December 25, and the current cost pressure has slowed down. The downstream inquiries and purchases are not active, the factory sales are not smooth, and some prices have been lowered.

Market outlook

The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that the current market supply is limited and there is a certain degree of support for the price. However, the price of raw material propylene has been lowered, the cost support has weakened, and the downstream enthusiasm is insufficient. The market continues to game. It is expected that in the short term, the ECH market may be focused on consolidation, and more attention should be paid to market news guidance.
