According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of acetic anhydride fell in June, and the market of acetic anhydride fell with the market of acetic acid. As of June 28, the average price of acetic anhydride enterprises was 5,300.00 RMB/ton, down 14.52% compared with 6,200.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, and up 4.61% compared with the same period last year.

Analysis review

The commodity price index of acetic acid and acetic anhydride was 90.89 on June 28, which was the same as that on 27, a decrease of 35.85% from the highest point in the cycle of 141.68 (2018-06-05), and an increase from the lowest point of 69.74 on August 04, 2016 30.33%. (Note: Period refers to 2015-01-01 to present). Recently, the price index of acetic anhydride and acetic acid is relatively stable, and there is insufficient momentum for acetic anhydride to rise. It is expected that the market outlook for acetic anhydride will stabilize.

The price of acetic anhydride fell in June following the trend of the price of acetic acid. Since the end of June, the acetic acid market has stabilized and the negative effect on the acetic anhydride market has weakened.

Market outlook

In general, the price of acetic acid fluctuated and fell in June, and the cost of acetic anhydride raw materials fluctuated and fell, which was negative for the acetic anhydride market. However, since late June, the decline in acetic acid has slowed, and the negative effect on acetic anhydride has weakened. The low operating rate of acetic anhydride enterprises and the basically stable purchases in the downstream make the acetic anhydride market in the future market have a certain upward momentum, and the acetic anhydride market is expected to maintain a strong stability.
