According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of PS ordinary materials at the beginning of this week was 11,616 RMB/ ton, and the average price of PS ordinary materials at the weekend was 10,850 RMB/ ton, down 6.60% and 0.76% compared with the same period of the year.
Market analysis
At present, the price of PS market is falling and the price of styrene is rising. However, the supply is increasing and the pressure of storage is increasing, and the focus of business offers continues to move downward. Dushanzi 500 quoted 9,900 RMB/ ton; CITIC 525 reported 10,400 RMB/ ton, and 688 were out of stock; Saibaolong 525 reported 9,700 RMB/ ton factory withdrawal; Liwan 525 reported 9,200 RMB/ ton factory withdrawal, Shanghai Secco 123P reported 10,200 RMB/ ton, 622P reported 10,600 RMB/ ton; Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 reported 11,200 RMB/ ton.
The support of PS cost is not good, some PS petrochemical manufacturers reduce their prices, the overall transaction is weak, and the supply increment leads to the price weakening, which impacts the market mentality. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in East China market is 9,700-11,000 RMB/ ton, and the mainstream price of hips (polystyrene) is 10,600-12,300 RMB/ ton. It is difficult for the market to have a significant volume of transactions, coupled with the impact of low-price offers, businesses may still sell at a small profit.
Market forecast
At present, the downstream demand for PS is deserted, and the short-term China domestic PS market is expected to weaken.
