SunSirs: Supply Tight, China PS Price Rising

According to the analysis system of the commodity market of SunSirs, the average PS quotation at the beginning of this week was 10,066 RMB/ton, and the average PS price over the weekend was 10,100 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.33% and a year-on-year increase of 6.31%.
Reference for mainstream brand prices excluding taxes: Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 quoted 10,600 RMB/ton, Taiwan Taihua 5250 quoted 10,300-10,400 RMB/ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N quoted 9,960 RMB/ton, Shanghai Secco 123P quoted 9,870-9,900 RMB/ton, 622P quoted 10,700 RMB/ton; Thai Petrochemical reported 150 RMB/ton at 9,940-9,950 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical reported 525 RMB/ton at 9,430 RMB/ton, and 660 RMB/ton at 10,220-10,250 RMB/ton.
Due to strong cost support, there is great pressure to ship at high prices, leading to a weakening of styrene futures. Coupled with the wait-and-see atmosphere in the theater, businesses operate according to market trends, resulting in tight market supply. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in the East China market is between 10,000-11,400 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is between 10,600-11,600 RMB/ton.
The merchant's quotation is firm, coupled with tight market supply, and it is expected that the short-term PS price may be mainly volatile and strong.
