SunSirs: Cost Supported, China PS Price Increased

According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average PS quotation at the beginning of last week was 9,700 RMB/ton, and the average PS price over the weekend was 9,833 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 1.37% and a 5.55% increase compared to the same period last year.

Reference for mainstream brand prices excluding taxes: Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 quoted 10,350-10,400 RMB/ton, Taiwan Taihua 5250 quoted 10,020 RMB/ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N quoted 9,870-9,900 RMB/ton, Shanghai Secco 123P quoted 9,300 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical 150 quoted 9,550 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 quoted 9,050 RMB/ton, Hong Kong Petrochemical 1841H quoted 10,000 RMB/ton for shortage of goods.

Upstream styrene rose, boosting the market atmosphere. Merchants continued to raise their prices, and downstream demand follow-up was limited. The wait-and-see sentiment in the market remained unchanged. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in the East China market is between 9,650-11,250 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is between 10,000-11,500 RMB/ton.

Upstream styrene prices are supported by limited market transactions, and it is expected that the short-term PS price will mainly fluctuate towards a stronger trend.
