Macroeconomics

1. [Automobiles] Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows that from January to August this year, my country's automobile production and sales reached 21.051 million and 21.128 million units, respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 12.7% and 12.6%, respectively. Of these, new energy vehicle production and sales reached 9.625 million and 9.62 million units, respectively, representing year-on-year increases of 37.3% and 36.7%, respectively. New energy vehicle sales accounted for 45.5% of total new vehicle sales.

2. [US CPI] The US Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest data, showing that the US CPI increased by 2.9% year-on-year in August, compared to 2.7% in the previous month, and by 0.4% month-on-month, compared to 0.2% in the previous month. The core CPI increased by 3.1% year-on-year, compared to 3.1% in the previous month.

3. [ECB Interest Rates] The ECB decided to maintain the eurozone's three key interest rates unchanged: the deposit rate at 2%, the main refinancing rate at 2.15%, and the marginal lending rate at 2.4%.

4. [Turkey Interest Rate Cut] On September 11th, local time, the Central Bank of Turkey announced that its Monetary Policy Committee decided to lower the benchmark interest rate by 250 basis points from 43% to 40.5%.

Agricultural and Sideline Products

1. [Soybean Meal] From August 16th to 31st, China's actual soybean meal import shipments were 42,350.72 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2,055.24%; the forecast for August import shipments was 42,850.72 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1,605.49%; the forecast for next month's import shipments is 90,244.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1,604.00%.

2. [Soybean Meal] From August 16th to 31st, China's actual soybean meal arrivals were 0.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 100.00%; the forecast for next month's arrivals is 2,848.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 855.70%; the actual arrivals in August were 1,300.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 37.73%; the forecast for next month's arrivals is 3,548.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 224.60%.

3. [Sugar] India should allow 2 million tons of sugar for export in the 2025/26 season due to an expected oversupply.

4. [Soybean] ANEC said Brazil's soybean exports in September 2025 are estimated at 7.43 million tons, up from the 6.75 million tons forecast a week ago and a 44% increase from 5.16 million tons in September last year.

5. [Palm Oil] Data from the Southern Peninsula Palm Oil Pressers Association (SPPOMA) showed that from September 1 to 10, 2025, Malaysia's palm oil yield per unit area decreased by 2.70% month-on-month, oil extraction decreased by 0.09% month-on-month, and production decreased by 3.17% month-on-month.
