SunSirs: China PS Price Decline

According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average PS quotation at the beginning of last week was 9,600 RMB/ton, and the average PS price over the weekend was 9,500 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.04% and a decrease of 4.36% compared to the same period last year.
The PS market is operating weakly, with mainstream brand prices excluding taxes as reference: Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 is priced at 9,250 RMB/ton, Taiwan Taihua 5250 is priced at 9,300 RMB/ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N is priced at 8,970-8,980 RMB/ton, Shanghai Secco 123P is priced at 9,000 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical is priced at 150 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical is priced at 8,850 RMB/ton, and Hong Kong Petrochemical is priced at 9,430-9,450 RMB/ton in 1841H.
Crude oil closed up sharply, while styrene prices fluctuated. Petrochemical manufacturers mainly stabilized prices, with limited trading volume. Merchants followed the market and operated accordingly. The mainstream price of GPPS in the East China market is between 8,750-10,100 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is between 9,250-10,550 RMB/ton.
The cost of PS is weak, and the market is mostly wait-and-see. It is expected that the domestic price of PS (polystyrene) will mainly fluctuate in the short term.
