SunSirs: Cost Increases, China PS Price Rises

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of PS at the beginning of this week was 9,650 RMB/ton, and the average price of PS at the weekend was 9,733 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.86% and a decrease of 4.89% compared to the same period last year.
Mainstream brand quotation without tax reference: Ningbo Taihua 535N reported 9,360-9,400 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P reported 9,300 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical 150 reported 9,200 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 reported 9,00-9,120 RMB/ton, Hong Kong Petrochemical 1841H reported 9,880 RMB/ton, SR600 reported 10,150-10,200 RMB/ton.
The domestic PS market saw a slight increase, with a range of 30-150 RMB/ton. The raw material styrene is subject to strong vibration, resulting in increased cost pressure. Some devices in East and South China have recovered, with slight growth in industry production, and some supply sources have tightened due to production cuts. The mainstream market price reference for GPPS in South China is 9,120 RMB/ton. (excluding taxes)
The cost increases, and it is expected that the short-term domestic PS (polystyrene) price may mainly increase slightly.
