SunSirs: Weak Transaction, China PS Price Drops in October

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average quotation for PS at the beginning of this month was 9,933 RMB/ton, and the average price for PS at the end of the month was 9,650 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.85% and a decrease of 5.39% compared to the same period last year.
Mainstream brand quotation without tax reference: Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 quoted 9,700 RMB/ton, Taiwan Taihua 5250 quoted 9,880 RMB/ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N quoted 9,440 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P quoted 9,200 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical 150 quoted 9,160-9,170 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 quoted 9,050 RMB/ton, Hong Kong Petrochemical 1841H quoted 9,900-10,000 RMB/ton.
Crude oil closed lower, styrene fluctuated laterally, and polystyrene lacked momentum to rise. PS (polystyrene) petrochemical manufacturers still lowered their prices, and merchants had a poor mentality. The mainstream price of GPPS (polyphenylene sulfide) in the East China market is between 9,100 and 10,800 RMB/ton, while the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is between 9,700 and 10,800 RMB/ton.
In October, PS prices fell, with weak cost support and poor market transactions. It is expected that the domestic PS (polystyrene) prices may fluctuate weakly in the short term.
